Open Control Lab

Subject : Information
from the Automation List dept.
Text :
As promised earlier in the year, our Open Control Lab is preparing to launch. This will be an industry resource, providing a public source of research and information about the characteristics and compatibility of open control components. The lab will engage in compatibility and parametric testing, guided in part by Control.com and Automation List subscribers. It is our intent to provide a rich public information resource that will perform a function similar to that fulfilled by Byte magazine in the early days of the personal computer industry. By building confidence in the use of open technologies and products, we hope to be a catalyst for change within the controls industry. We're now engaged in a search for the Lab Director (also known as "Open Systems Magician" :-). For information about this position, refer to the Control.com website at http://www.control.com/control_com/contained_pages/AboutUs/jobs_html#OP . I'll continue to keep you posted as to our progress.
