I would hope they get just a little madder and help us provide a viable alternative. We can code as time allows and advocate, but the real key to having a viable alternative is for people to accept that this is to their advantage and get beyond "wait and see" to actually making it happen. It clearly can be done, and the objections about support, momentum, installed base and confidence are all easily and obviously evercome by a vibrant and enthusiastic user community. The critical path to this objective can only be met by folks reading this. Nothing on our part can take the place of this community. With enough push, just a little from a lot of people, no roadblock is insurmountable.
